ITERLENE IN/400-L GREEN

New-generation amino-based anti-stripping agent (adhesion activator) for bituminous mixes, free of aromatic oils hazardous to human health. It chemically bonds the bitumen film to the aggregate surface and counteracts the stripping action of water, the main cause of ravelling and potholes. It also improves wetting and coverage of the aggregate by the binder, making the mix easier to work.

Application: Dosed into the bitumen weighing system at the asphalt plant with a metering pump, generally 0.3-0.6% by weight of bitumen depending on the aggregate. Works with neat and polymer-modified bitumen, including strongly acidic aggregates; in winter it also eases transport and compaction of the mix.
